Music is a huge part of my life. I grew up playing clarinet in the band, and teaching myself piano. As a kid I listened to top 40 and country with my dad, and Christian and classical with my mom. My Grandpa John, and Grandma Jackie loved Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet and old musicals like South Pacific. And I have distinct memories of blasting Celine Dion with the windows down in my Grandma Judy’s car.
I remember loving all of it- The first cd’s I bought with babysitting money were the Parent Trap Soundtrack and The St. Elmo’s Fire Soundtrack (on the same day at Best Buy). I was obsessed with this song because it was the floor routine music for my level 6 idol at gymnastics. (Hi Kelsey) This was before you could pick and choose just one song to purchase or stream, so I needed the whole album…
I digress, this Epitome of Autumn playlist I made last year, and I just re-discovered it. It is a compilation of songs that embody that fall feeling. These songs are the perfect companion to bake, read, or go for a drive to find beautiful autumnal leaves. The playlist is linked here I hope it brings you as much joy as it has brought me.
